As described, we operate at a level of self-organization that correlates with Richard Hackmann's level "3", meaning "Self-Designing Teams. This means that there is still a group of people responsible for setting the overall context for the company (in alignment with our shareholders).

<aside> 💡 At OX we call this group of people the Context Board.

The Context Board is solely responsible to keep the Constitution and the Context uptodate. It is not part of the value creation of OX and has no operational duties, influence or decision power.

As with any Expert Group, being a member of the Context Board is not a full-time job, nor is it a primary role. The group meets when updates to these documents need to be discussed.

While this board is by no means the successor of the former LT, for compliance reasons at least one board member should be part of the Context Board, as the board members are legally responsible towards the supervisory board and sometimes an alignment with the shareholders may be necessary.

The Context Board will be formed like any other Expert Group on the basis of an open invite, following the same rules. Members are expected to be able to contribute with a high level of expertise in at least one of the areas, it is not enough to just listen and "have an opinion" on the issues.
